Make Smoking History 6DBY King Tide Day supported by Lotterywest
The town of Derby in the West Kimberley boasts of having the highest tide every year in Australia and the second highest tide in the southern hemisphere.
On Saturday May 19th 2018 celebrate a low tide of 1.71 m at 11.00 am and a high tide of 11.35 m at 4.26 pm. A massive rise and fall of 9.64 m in less than 6 hours, the water moving at upwards of 12 knots !!!
Come and enjoy the festivities being brought to you by Derby Media Aboriginal Corporation (6DBY Radio), Lotterywest, Healthway Make Smoking History and The Boab Festival Committee, Archer Builders, toxfree and the Shire of Derby West Kimberley.
Derby country Music Club, Dana Lyons, Just Flex, and The Mango Mob will be performing live on stage.
Plus markets and healthy food stalls, art auction and heaps of fun for the children.
Event starts at 12.00 pm and will go thru to 5.00 pm.
