6DBY HIGH TIDE DAY - SUPPORTED BY Lotterywest
The town of Derby in the West Kimberley boasts of having the highest tide every year in Australia and the second highest tide in the southern hemisphere.
On Saturday April 29th 2017 celebrate a low tide of 0.85m at 10.28 am and a high tide of 12.02m at 3.49 pm. a massive rise and fall of 11.17m (36.5 feet) in less than 6 hours, the water moving at upwards of 12 knots !!!
Come and enjoy the festivities being brought to you by Derby Media Aboriginal Corporation (6DBY Radio), Lotterywest, The Boab Festival Committee, Archer Builders, toxfree and the Shire of Derby West Kimberley.
Derby country Music Club, John Albert and the Mango trio will be preforming. Plus markets and food stalls and heaps of fun for the children.
Event starts at 3.30 pm and will go thru to 7.30 pm.

This West Kimberley institution has been going since 1996 and is world famous. All the action is on the Bill Duff Big Stage at the Derby Turf Club.
Local legend ERIC BENNING, known as the master of the telecaster will open the show with his band.Then Criuzer will be playing their infectious brand of Kimberley Rock so wear your dancing shoes .

To finish the night touring country rock explosion RAY RYDER and BAND supported by Royalties For Regions, WA Dept of Culture and the Arts and Dept of Regional Development take the stage for a blistering closing bracket.
Viva La France themed special night for everyone under the starry Kimberley night sky. Featuring fabulous seven piece dance band, MISS BEHAVE and THE SCHOOL of FUNK, plus the DERBY MOTOWN REVUE and for the first time in Derby BURLESQUE DANCERS performing on stage.
Presentation of BOAB QUEST entrants, spot prizes and a whole lotta fun.
