Danielle Bangmorra – Derby District High School
Hi my name is Danielle Bangmorra, I’m a Derby girl, I was born and raised here. I’ve worked at DDHS as an AIEO for the past 11 years. I also have a little family of my own with my partner and two sons and I am proud to represent DDHS as this year Boab Quest Entrant. I am raising funds for resources for the new school buildings.
Mick Porra – Mary Island Fishing Club
Hi my name is Mick Porra, I’ve been in Derby for 14 years and spent 8 years on the fishing club committee.
I am a carpenter working locally.
I am entering the boab quest to raise money for the Mary Island Fishing club who are currently raising money to build new clubrooms on the current site on the corner of Loch and Elders streets and it will be a good excuse to wear a dress, not that I need one.
Trent Ozies – 6DBY
Hi, My name is Trent, I was born in Broome, and spent my early years in Broome, Halls Creek and also lived on the Gibb River Road in a community called Ngallagunda (Gibb River station). I have lived in Derby since I was a little boy. Growing up in Derby I have been involved with many community groups like the Derby Sharks swimming club through my junior years and as an adult I have also been involved with a lot of community sports like beach volleyball and aqua aerobics. Living in derby for the last 14 years has enabled me to build amazing friendships with many of the locals from all walks of life, with being at 6dby as a broadcaster, this role has opened up even more doors to the wider community of Derby.
I am fundraising to upgrade all of the equipment in the studios. I feel that it’s time to give the radio station an upgrade from the inside out so that all of Derby’s future staff members and members of the public can enjoy.
I hope to see you all at my upcoming events and support with my fundraising efforts.
I would greatly appreciate it a lot.
